| HILTON CHICAGO |
| When it opened in 1927, this massive brick-and-stone edifice billed itself as the largest hotel in the world. Today, the Hilton still runs like a small city, with numerous restaurants and shops and a steady stream of conventioneers. Its colorful history includes visits by Queen Elizabeth, Emperor Hirohito, and every president since FDR -- and riots outside its front door during the 1968 Democratic Convention.

| On a busy day, the lobby of this Hilton might be mistaken for a terminal at O'Hare Airport; it's a bustling convention hotel, but one that retains its 1920s heritage in a Renaissance-inspired entrance hall and gold-and-gilt Grand Ballroom. — Fodor's |

| This hotel is wonderful! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Check in was very easy. The lobby is located on the fifth floor and easy to access. The location can't be beat! With Norstroms attached it makes for easy access to many shops.

| THE DRAKE HOTEL |
| If ever the term "grande dame" fit a hotel, it's The Drake, which opened in 1920. Fronting East Lake Shore Drive, this landmark building is Chicago's version of New York's Plaza or Paris's Ritz. — Frommer's |
| The Drake has an elegance that's impossible to duplicate today. From the wainscoting in the wide hallways to the mail chutes and classic elevator doors, there are vintage delights everywhere, especially in the ornate lobby. — Citysearch Editorial |

| EMBASSY SUITES CHICAGO
Downtown Lakefront |
| The sleek, glass atrium bustles in the morning for complimentary breakfast buffet and in the evening for complimentary happy hour. A bonus for families on vacation is the location: within walking distance of Navy Pier and North Michigan Avenue. — Fodor's |
| With its fully equipped health club and popular on-site Greek restaurant, this isn't your typical chain hotel. This all-suite property is located three blocks east of Michigan Avenue near the Navy Pier. It is within walking distance of the Chicago River architecture, The Loop and the Magnificent Mile's shopping district. — Gayot |

| HILTON Chicago/Indian Lakes Resort |
Great conference hotel, but would also be a great weekend getaway for couples and friends if you like golf. The course is really a challenge, but alot of fun. The rooms are a really oversized and comfortable. The properties "lounge" The Cave, closes early during the weeknights, but is open later on the weekends. Fun putt-putt course on the property next to the outdoor pool. The property also has an indoor pool. Definitely will want a car as the property is about 1/2 hour from O'Hare, but easy to get to. There is easy access to local restaurants and convenience stores.
